I am a teen and some of my friends think I am not cool and not outgoing because I am organized? Wat up w/ dat?

They even tease me saing I have OCD or something, (which I could have the mild one) lol. Buuuuuut, its not a sign of being "uncool" or shy or is it?

Heck no! I'm not organized, and that doesn't make me cool, no matter how hard I try!!! Heh, heh. Maybe they're associating being organized with being prim and proper in some way. Personally, I think that people who decide what is cool and what is uncool are actually the uncool ones in the end. Which would make me uncool, because I've gone and decided that they're the uncool ones.

some friends you have...

there's nothing wrong with being organized. the more organized you are, the more efficient you will be in the future. you can do your work faster without having too much a hassle. people can depend on you if they are in need. hell, you can get a raise higher than your original paycheck, one day when you have a career, for being a good, organized employee! there are great opportunities for you if you're organized.

cool or uncool... it's not important. it really isn't. if you want to be cool, find true friends that does not discriminate you for being organized. because honestly, i think it's just really dumb of your "friends" to think that being organized is "uncool".

It is okay at times for friends to joke or kid around at times,but when it starts to bring stress on the friendship,then there is a problem.True friends would not or should not even care about what you do as far as being organized.A true friend is someone that is always there in time of need,that doesn't pass judgment,that is fun to hang out with and go places with.You are far from being uncool too,it sounds like that they are not only the true friends they claim to be,but it sounds as though they are jealous of your coolness of being able to organize and still have time to other things as well.I know that sounds lame,but you would be surprised on how others think and act.Maybe try to spread yourself alittle further on making more friends as well,than just the ones you are hanging with.Good Luck to you and your choices with your friends,sounds like you have your head in the right direction and that you have a sense of style of humor to be able to joke with your friends as long as you have about this issue,and your not shy or i wouldn't be replying about your concerns.Stay the way you are and don't worry about others and their thoughts.As long as you feel good in all that you do,then that's what i would continue do!Best wishes!

Nobody is perfect. Mates tease each other all the times, maybe you are just not used to it. You just need to tease them back with something they do that's different tbh. Or if it really bothers you and they don't stop, try doing something to have more in common with them. Find out something they all like doing that you don't and then do it, like a sports or music activity. Then they can't really say you're uncool or not outgoing.

When you have the degree on the wall (or two), nice job, car, house yada yada...what will be cooler! As long as you keep a goal in mind to be organized for. As in, don't organize for organizations sake, that can be OCD. Your friends are always going to have a say about anything. Do the things you like to do and don't worry about the small stuff.

Be your self grrlfriend. besides you can always tell them that...

"I would love to have a battle of wits with you, but you seem to be unarmed."

Or you can find yourself a new set of friends. or if you really want your evil side come out, here's is what you do. tell your "Friends" that you would like to go catch a movie, buy the typical movie stuff Soda, candy, popcorn or w/e. position yourself at the end, and tell whomever is close to you, that you got to go use the restroom, or bathroom. just walk out go to your vehicle and leave them. their at the theater.

If you have a cellphone (which most boy.grrl teenagers do) turn it off. Have them call your personal home phone, and when they ask how come you left them, tell them....
"So how does it feel?"
or
"I thought the answer would be obivious?"
or you can always do a little baseball bat justice XD

no it's not being uncool. coolness is defined by the people making the judgement. different people have different ideas of what it means. if you think you may have OCD get checked out. in any case being organised is not uncool. in a few years your "friends" will regret not being more organised, especially once they get to college. if they call you uncool and make fun of you, you may want to consider hanging out with other people who will be more accepting.

You are your only truest friend, rest of the gang is your acquaintences. Go in this manner take their comments to make amends in what you feel is bad and let their rest of the comments escape from your other ear. Dont pay much heed, do you see the mirror, can you not understand what is cool in you or not ? Who needs peers to judge you. You be peer to others ??

those so called friends of yours arent friends at all. they are the uncool ones. they are dumb. dont listen to them. get some friends that dont make fun of u. u are whho u are and that is that. tell them to deal with it or u will leave. i recomend leaving them. and no it is not "uncool" to be organized heck its a blessing! oh while ur changing friends if u do... make sure u dont chose based on pop[ularity. as u probly know.... it's wut is inside that counts!
