Acrobat file is synonym for .PDF files. You can download the Adobe Acrobat Reader to read these file from Adobe site itself.
PDF file are supposed to be secured one as one can't edit these file and even you can lock the copy option.

Acrobat is any file in pdf format.It is not easily editable. It can be created by using acrobat writer softwar, just print the original file through acrobat distiller.
