A University professor at a well-known institution of higher learning challenged his students with this question. "Did God create everything that exists?"
A student bravely replied, "Yes he did!"
"God created everything?"The professor asked.
"yes sir he did," The student replied.
The professor awnsered,"If God created everything;then God created evil. And since evil exists, and according to the priciple that our works define who we are, then we can assume God is evil."
The student kept quiet and sat down. The professorwas pleased with himself and boasted to the students that once again he proved that christianity was a myth.
Another student raised his hand and asked, "Does cold exist?"
Professor:"Of course it exists! What sort of a question is that?!"
The other students snickered at the guys question. The man replied, " In fact sir, cold does not exist.

According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in actual fact the absence of heat. Everybody or object is susceptable to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 F) is the total absence of heat; and all matter becomes inert and incapable of reactionat that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel when we have no heat."
The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"
The professor responded, "Of course it does."
The student replied, "Once again u are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact, we can use Newton's prism to break light into many colours and study the various wave lengths of each colour. You can not measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How do you know how dark a certain space is?

You measure the ammount of light present.
Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir does evil exist?"
Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course, as I have already said. We see it everyday with all the crime and violence in society."
To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it does not exist onto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is what happens when have not got God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or darkness that comes when there is no light."
The professor sat down.

the young man's name was Albert Einstein.

A True story just for your interrest.

Did God create Evil?

This will make you think for a while.
At a certain college there was a professor with a reputation for being tough on Christians. At the first class, every semester, he asked if anyone was a Christian and proceeded to degrade them and to mock their statement of faith. One semester, he asked the question and a young man raised his hand.

The professor asked, "Did God make everything young man?"
He replied "Yes sir he did!" The professor responded,! "IF God made everything, then he made evil"

The student didn't have a response and the professor was happy to once again prove the Christian faith to be a myth.

Then another man raised his hand and asked, "May I ask you something, sir?""Yes, you may," responded the professor.

The young man stood up and said, "Sir, is there such a thing as cold?" Of course there is, what kind of a question is that? Haven't you everbeen cold?"

The young man replied, "Actually, sir, cold doesn't exist. What we consider to be cold, is really an absence of heat. Absolute zero is when there is absolutely no heat, but cold does not really exist. We have only created that term to
describe how we feel when heat is not there.
"
The young man continued, Sir, is there such a thing as dark?" Once again the professor responded, "Of course there is."And once again, the student replied, "Actually, sir, darkness does not exist. Darkness is really only the absence of light. Darkness is only a term developed to describe what happens when there is no light present."

Finally, the young man asked, "Sir, is there such a thing as evil?"The professor responded, "Of course, we have rapes, murders and violence everywhere in the world, Those things are evil.
"
The student replied, "Actually, sir, evil does not exist. Evil is simply the absence of God. Evil is a term developed to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. It isn't like truth, or love which exist as virtues like heat or light. Evil is simply the state

where God is not present, like cold without heat, or darkness without light."

The professor had nothing to say................
Be full of Christ today, there is no room for anything else . .
I think this is the whole of it..

God bless & hugs from Texas. {:-)

Your question kind of rambles on and jumps from point to point. I dont really understand the last part about cold not existing, or how that ties to whether God is evil or not. What is the correlation between God creating evil and God being evil? That is about like someones saying I am evil because my son turned out that way. I am not really sure why our smart college students could not come up with a healthy debate about that, unless they felt intimidated by the professor. Regardless, here's my take on it.

Is God evil? No. Did God create evil? No. Who created evil? Satan. If God created Satan didnt he create evil? No, he did not. (going back to the father son analogy).

You see, the professor used a trick question. Did God create everything that exists? Meaning all things good and all things evil. God created good, and God created Satan. Satan changed good into evil. So Satan created evil.

What if...
there is no god,no devil and we are just evolved apes spinning through space on a big ball of rock.
Religion is a wonderfull way of keeping humans in check, without it we would be killing each other, starting wars, letting each other starve to death when there are mountains of food,oh we're already doing that are'nt we.
How many people have died because of religion, more than the black death...maybe the answer is simple....
4 billion apes on a rock in the darkness....

To have light means to have some photons, To have heat means to have particle movement. We can say in principle that to have something is to have some other thing.

On the other hand to have nothing means only to have nothing. Nothing is self sufficient.

So before everything there was nothing. Since God created everything then He was the first to be created. Since there was nothing else there He must have been created (or created Himself) from nothing. Since nothing is evil, does that make God evil?

God is not evil..God is full of love and joy..if He was in your heart you would know the feeling that He gives. God did in fact not make evil things. He put TEMPTATION on the earth to see how far His children would stray from Him. He wanted to know who truly cared for Him. The devil is the evil one. God cannot control the devil. But if you want to live your life right He can overpower the hate.

How do you know whether you are happy if you have not experienced sadness. How can you imagine ugliness if you are constantly surrounded with beautiful things (by the way, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder).

God is not evil, God is only trying to make everyone understand how things work.

sometimes I do think he is evil or playing some sort of weird game with us when you hear of all the evil in the world and all the evil people if he created everything then he has definitely created evil this is a very good question

it is wrong logic. It is like when you say that if i lied for doing smth good everything I did is bad. Our children arent our copies, so God's creations arent his copies. He made also a lot of illnesses, but it doesnt mean he wanted tornure his children.
But for this professor's point of view you should read Mark Twen "letters from earth" Nice story and his interpritation
