I increased my amount of exercise with a lot more walking, cut out soft drinks and have lost a great deal of weight in all my extremities it seems. My thighs, my bottom, my arms, all thinner but I still carry a lot of weight around the middle with a fairly droopy stomach. Is there any exercises I can do or different diet plan that will specifically target the middle section? Any other women have this issue? Is this the last area where weight loss occurs?

You have two options.

You can cut calories and perform crunches like crazy, try one of the hot new incredible infomercial ab devices and buy the lastest new and improved "fat burner".

Also there is another option but it is not too popular. Eat right, Understand functions of the abdominal muscles, work the body as a whole, and allow for ongoing fat release.

Of all of two options, there is only one that "works," all of the time. Unfortunately, it "appears" to be the most complicated.

You can read about the real Ab-Solution at the link below;

DO NOT continue doing something just because "THEY" say it's the way things should be done. Allow yourself to choose the solution that will work for you, regardless of what it may be. The only way for you to know who is right is to measure your progress and ACTUALLY track your results.

CHANGE IS HARD, but it's also worth it. Not getting results makes change EXTREMELY HARD.

Get support from friends, family or a coach. Losing weight is not as hard at it seems once you know what to do.

Lots of factors play a role here, i.e. genetics, age, gender, illness, etc. A surgeon once told me that some women, after childbirth, have bulgy stomachs because their muscles simply don't shrink back to normal and they can do crunches until they're blue in the face and it won't make a difference.

Assuming that you're not in that category, I can tell you that the middle isn't necessarily the 'last place' where the fat disappears from. You DO lose fat there too, it's just less obvious than on your extremities. Perhaps your body type is such that you are stronger in the middle. In general, we lose fat proportionally, but most women do retain more around the hips, lower belly and thighs. If you lose enough fat, you'll see it disappear in the middle as well. Age plays a role as well as hormones, tissue strength, etc. change.

I think it's great that you're exercising and cut the soft drinks. Think in terms of what you're gaining by way of fitness. The rest will fall into place, just give it time and stick with the effort. Good luck.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

well....

(weight training) to develop muscles... coz muscles are 30% less in size than fat. So when you build your muscles, the fat (which makes up the droopy stomach) will be substituted with muscles and then you'll even burn more calories and you'll be toned up!!To Do this:

Lift weights, crunchs, sit-ups, and SWIMMING (swimming does miracles) and drink lots of water...

P.S.: usually fried food and fast food like burgers and french fries contribute to the droopiness of a stomach... so if you are into them, try to to cut on them...

Goodluck!
