A UTI(Urine Track infection) it can be of a few diffrent origins. It can be an infection of the kidneys, ureters,or the bladder caused by microgrnisms that either ascend frin tthe urethra(95% of the cases are of this orgin) or that is spread to the kidney for the bloodstream(5%) . About 7 millon American patients visit a health care provider each year because of a UTI. These infections commonly occur inotherwise healthy women men and childeren with prostatic hypertrophy or bladder outlet obstruction, and in children with congential anatomical abnnormalities of the urninary tract, and patients who have just had a catheters,
Most UTIS are caused by eschericha coli which causes 80 percent staphyiciccys saorophyticus is another common intruder. There are many more diffrent orgnisims that are responsible.
The symptoms of a urinary tract infection ... vary enormously.. it can be pain with urination.. frequency or urgency... pelvic pain or suprapubic discomfort. a low grade fever..or a change in the apperance or the smell of the urine. I suspect that your not an elderly person they could be confused having the fever, and even a coma this is only in a very sever case.
Next your going to wonder how did I get this... basically 95 pr cent occur because the little bug travels up your urethia into your bladder or where ever it decides to cause the turmoil. It can cause burning when you pass urine also. But it can be cause by a STD if that is what your wondering.. this can be casued by a yeast infection, or any other STD or it can be caused by any orgnisim that has traveled in and up into your body.
Some young brides or in modern times young women who are just starting to have intercourse in a frequent pattern can have an irritation that would resemble a uti.. also to prevent utis women should pass urine before intercourse and aftwards... drinking plenty of clear liquids can help to avoid this uncomfortable situation.. old wifes tales spoke of consuming cranberry juice there is some natural chemical that sooths and helps the infections to subside.. If you have blood or pus in your urine I dont suggest any home remidy but you will need to seek medical attention so to avoid its spread to the kidneys.. One would get them becuse the bug has decided that it likes you and want to annoy you so it takes up residence in your bladder ect... Any way best of luck always avoid sugar and coffee tight fitting panites and nylon panties or nylons these can contribute to a yeast infection which can spread to the uti...

Do you mean a Urinary tract or bladder infection? If so, it will hurt and burn when you go pee. You'll probably feel like you have to go and then only a small amount will come out. If it's really bad there may be blood in the urine. Drinks tons of water and that will help and you may need an antibiotic.

Blood in the urine or stinging when you urinate can be the signs of a bladder infection. Quick catheter (sp? Tube up the urethra) and some pills (Which turn your urine bright orange, quite cool and gross at the same time) and you're good to go.
