Go to the unitedstatescensus.org and see what they say. Whatever the number there are just too many of us. In the 1920's most families were 8-10 kiddo's large and now possible 1. There were no major cities ie: Denver, Chicago, NY. There were just large towns...Now we are swarming with people and problems.
The most accurate count is the census. And it is a great form for anyone to use to get ancestory information from years ago. Can you imagine what the census information will be like from our decades to the next set of generations????

In a constant state of flux. Every minute there are births and deaths all over the world some are recorded most are not, but on a guess I'd say between twenty and fifty billion.
