Put all your files into one folder. Then holding the left mouse button down, highlight all files you want to burn to CD. Right click and choose the option to send to your CD burner drive letter. Typically that letter will be D. After all files are ready to burn, a pop up message will tell you that you have files ready to burn to CD. Click on it. Then it will ask you to burn to CD. Name your CD for future reference. Then click burn and within 10-15 minutes or less you will have a CD with your files on it.

I shall divide the process in two steps:
1. Verifying the hardware: Check and make sure you have the right CD Drive. That means that you have a CD-Writer or CD-Burner to write/burn data (in any shape, folders, files, movies, songs, etc.). You can verify it by looking at the signs printed/engraved on the tray of your Drive (Tray is the part that comes out on pressing the eject button to insert the CD). If it bears either CD-R or CD-RW sign, it means you have got a burner, but if it has only Compact Disk sign, you have a simple CD ROM Drive. You cannot write a Blank CD with this Drive.
Step 2: Software! After verifying that you have the right hardware installed, you need necessary software to perform the burn process. A number of burning software a available in the market. Most popular are Nero and In-CD. If you have WinXP, you dont need any third party software. just insert your blank/empty disk into your burner, explore the folders/files you need to copy to the CD. Select them, Copy them and then double click the CD Drive icon in my computer and paste the files there. A screen shall show up and ask u to perform a couple of steps. Just follow the onscreen instructions and you are done.
Good Luck

Make sure that you have a CD Writer drive and that the drivers are properly installed. Then when you insert a blank CD you should have a window pop up saying that you have a blank CD inserted and give you some choices on what you can do with it. Select the Open folder to add files option and then select OK. That way you can just drag the files that you want on the CD into that folder and then when you are done click on the Write these files to a CD. That option is located near the top left corner of the screen. Hopefully this helps you out. Good Luck!

Some computers have built in cd burners so there will be a program already installed open that follow instructions. Or if u bought a cd burner u have to download the disk it came with.

Just put the empty CD-R into your CD burner, then start your CD-burning software, and drap-and-drop the files you want on the disk to the appropriate spot. Then, just hit the "burn" button, and wait for it to finish.

Insert your CD in the disc drive & save as disc drive. Now it depends what you want to save. If you want to burn a CD for Music the best way to go about is either Real Player or Windows Media Player just to name a couple

Get iTunes, make a playlist from the file --> new playlist option. Add music from your library to the playlist and then go to the playlist and click on burn cd at top right. iTunes is the best.
