As tea contains caffeine its probably not the best drink before bed, however, as you have it milky its probably not too bad as milk is good for getting you to sleep. Tea doesn't contain nearly as much caffeine as coffee. As long as you're not having trouble sleeping it's perfectly safe to continue drinking your nightly tea!

most tea has caffeine but then some people are not bothered by it. I used to give my son chamomile tea before bed as it has no caffeine. If you live in a place where you can find the brand Celestial Seasons, they make a nice tea called Sleepytime.

Hmm...I'm not sure.

I personally think it is not a good idea. Since I have low tolerance against caffeine and tea contains lots of them. It will keep me awake too much if I drink before going to bed, too.

But I have no medical reference behind this.

If you want to sleep well, avoid drinks containing caffeine after about 7pm (tea, coffee etc) Hot milk on its own is good for aiding sleep.

No. Just don't use tea that has caffeine in it. Don't the English put tea in their milk?

I used to do the same... it mellows it out a bit.
