My husband and I like to discuss everything. We're big debaters, but in a fun playful way. Our latest: Our 8 year old son. He thinks girls are "gross!" Our debate is what age (generally) do boys openly start liking girls? I was thinking 4th or 5th grade. He's been a horndog since kindergarten, so their goes his reference point. We are not trying to change our son's thinking, this is just another one of our fun debates.

They never stop thinking girls are gross, they just start seeing some girls as not gross :-)

I think so, too. Grade 4- 5. The boys in my Elementary class started this booty- hitting game in grade 4. It wasn't out of disgust..more like to get our attention....to be chased by the girl. This was in Germany. Then again my son's friend will start grade 5 after summer, and he constantly says that he hates girls. My son doesn't think that way at all...he never ever did. So, there are some exceptions, but I think around 10 years of age would be a good estimate.

I've seen some boys take an interest in girls in 3rd grade and some not until the age of 12 or 13. It depends on the kid.

Dammm I can remember that I started young, I was in Kinder garden and I used to pick up the girls skirt and look at their undies, well I figure that boys about 9

It depends on the person's personality. Also, when I was growing up I looked at porn (not that I recommend this) and so I stopped thinking they were gross and wanted to marry them and I had many crushes, and I wanted to have sex and have a child with them. So for me, it was when I was about 9 and in 4th grade.

I hear it varies, just like when do girls need a bra? My son is 10 and like girls for friends but still thinks kissing is gross and wants none of it.

10. but if they're really early birds then 9 or even 8. i started likeing boys when i was in 2nd grade unbelieveble. also two of my 11 year old friends have boyfriends. some have broken up but our school has young couples
