my jvc television,american specification is not showing in my country that adopted a british specification of 240v 140 watt and 50/60 hz

As already mentioned, assuming you have not already fried your TV by trying to use it abroad, you will need to buy a transformer to convert the electric from British standard to American standard. Britain uses 240V which is around double US standards, and the cycle rate is 50Hz rather than 60Hz.

If your attempts to use it have not fried a circuit in the TV, then you can buy a voltage converter to convert power from your wall to American spec power, and your TV will work fine

U have to get a transformer. When I lived in Germany, we had to have a transformer for all our electronics, radio, TV, stereo equipment. They sell them both here in the US or over there in England. They are very common around a military installation as many US citizens don't realize they need them till they get overseas.
