Get an old trunk or big suitcase and decorate the outside of it really fancy, with glitter, paint, etc. Then go to garage sales and find old dress up clothes like boas, etc. Add a mirror that you can pdecorate with that tube paint. lol I can't think of the name of the tube paint. Old empty make up containers, etc. can be added.

Or make her a craft basket and put some kids crafts that you could do together in it.

Make her an artist's easel. kids love these. She can put the crafty genes she inherited from her aunt to good use. And, make her one of those fancy paint palettes to go with it. Buy her some finger paints and a big pad of paper, and give her an old button down shirt for a nifty looking smock, then set her free. Plus, furniture is good because it can make a nice keepsake to pass down. My dad made me a doll high chair, which I kept to give to my daughter some day.

When I was about that age I loved paper dolls. If you are crafty like you say this should be easy. You just need to make a paper body cutout and then different clothes and accessories etc. that can attach to that. You could even try to make it look like her. Good luck. :)

I love to make no-sew fleece blankets as gifts. Just get 2 pieces of fleece in any color or print (2 yds. each), put them together with right sides facing out, and cut 5"-6" strips on each side through both pieces of fabric. Tie the strips together in knots to make fringe. Voila--a personalized throw blanket that is unique and inexpensive to make.

all little girls love dollhouses. Or maybe some dressup outfits like fairy's princesses etc.

I once made my neice a rag doll the size of her and with the same colouring, she loved it

Make her a pretty dress in the style of her favourite disney princess. Most girls enjoy that.

An applique quilt. It can be anything she likes and as colorful or intricate as you like and it will certainly be unique and personal and with her most of her life.
