Without more details its difficult to give answers but here's what I think. You get her number, call and talk. You call again and she says "Just to be friends". Well, bottomline, she's telling you that you won't be having sex with her. Understand that and you'll be fine. Most people are attention whores and will take it any way they can. Keep this in mind. If the two of you ever go out, "as friends", don't spend your money on her. If she really see's you as a friend, she won't use you for financial reasons. If you want more than friendship, don't waste your time, move on and find another gal. There are too many out there willing to give you what you are looking for whether it be for sex or long-term relationship. Don't get used.

Maybe she needs someone to talk to and doesn't have a lot of friends so she gave you her number thinking you would call and be friends with her.

After getting to know you a little, she probably realized that she only wants to be friends. Maybe she doesn't have a sexual connection with you.
