A few years ago, I couldn't gp to sleep without socks and a sheet over me because I was afraid of the buggyman. I couldn't even have a fan nor the air conditioner on at night because of fear. Now, I have to have either or both. Am I getting hotter as the years go by? See I am hotter than you think.

I agree with the first answer. Perimenopause or menopause will cause you to feel like your on fire due to the decrease in female hormones. If you opt for hormone replacement, go the bio-identical route or au-natural as this will prevent side effects and cancer. You may also need calcium and magnesium supplements. When you age those vitamins decrease causing an increase in osteoperosis.

I have hormone problems and am young, so I know what it feels like to be constantly hot. And with summer here it's ten times worse. The hormones help, but I still have a healthy aversion to heat. It's definitely uncomfortable, but is treatable if you so desire. See a good endocrinologist, or gynecologist with an endo background for treatment. In the meantime, keep those fans going! Menopause won't kill you, just make you uncomfortable.

In females at the age of 45 & above, there is hormonal change, which can cause such symptoms, so it's true for females they can get such bouts of hot flushes off & on.
For males in early age due to pubertal hormonal change they some times get such attacks.
So it could be an aging problem, but there are few diseases like "Hyperthyroidism" which can cause such symptoms it's better you consult a Physician.
