Why?

It varies, depending on what is happening in my life, as to which is my favourite and most inspiring, but most of the time I would have to say Peter because he is just so human and failable, and yet he just keeps on getting up, acknowledging his weakness and sin, and getting on with doing God's work. He is so humble, he experiences all the negative emotions that humans experience (anger, fear etc) and even denies Christ, and yet he goes on to apologise and not to give up but to go on to spread the word of Jesus. The man is a hero. I'd like to be that brave to face up to my own weakness and put it behind me for God like he does.

Mary Magdalene. For very obvious reasons...

IF she was indeed a PROSTITUTE, then she truly repented all her past sins and she was the MOST LOYAL of all His disciples; never doubting Jesus in any way. In fact she was always there for Him; ministering to Him; weeping at His feet; washing His feet with her expensive perfume in an alabaster jar; wiping His feet with her hair; being there [maybe in the Last Supper and the Garden of Olives, but most definitely] in His interrogation, on His way to Golgotha/Calvary, at His feet in Crucifixion; at the laying of His tomb; at the dawn of His Resurrection; she was told to inform the rest of the Apostles that He had risen; etc...

NO OTHER APOSTLE could match her presence with Him during His entire public Ministry, bar none.

And IF she happened to be HIS WIFE and NOT THE PROSTITUTE she has been FALSELY DEPICTED to be... then so much the better even!!

So there.

Peace be with you!

My favorite is Peter. He was so in a hurry, in trouble, always saying things without thinking. but yet Jesus said that he was the rock. He had a true love for the Lord. I can relate alot to him.

John. He was always there with Jesus. He was just as close as someone like Peter, but never betrayed him. He was still around when Jesus was being crucified.

I'd say it's a tie between Barnabus & Nathanael.
Barnabus because he was an encourager, & Nathanael because he was deeply honest & without guile. Both of these attributes are qualities I want in my life.
