would you believ the same thing has just happend to me. bout 4 months ago i ran into this guy i went to school with and we started chatting and i got his number. later in the week i got a msg from him and we were talking about school and how we were friends and how i used to really like him. he then replied that he liked me and wish he had relised what he had missed out on in school and he should have hooked up with me.
we continued to msg each other and after a week he said that he still had feelings for me. the only problem with the whole situation is i met another guy and now im engaged, i got so confused on what to do but he still says now that he really likes me and i should leave the other guy. of course im not.
Anyway the point to all this is yes there is a chance for you both as long as neither of you are in a relationship. a way to find out is by saying that you used to like him and find out where you stand with him. invite him out for dinner or a movie or something and try and spend time with him. you will soon know if he likes you or not.

i don't think there is a right answer to this, i say that because i am doing that same thing now and for the last year... get to know eachother, hang out, meet eachothers friends. it's been a long time, people grow up and sometimes they aren't who you thought they were, or they could be everything you want. take your time, just because you've known them forever doesn't mean you know them.

but seriously, it would all depend on you making it happen. i think an old school friend would have good potential for a successful and rewarding romantic relationship - you've instantly got a lot in common, a lot of topics to share about, etc.
flirt a little to see if he responds. light and fun flirting doesn't hurt and is always appreciated by the other party.. good luck!

Hang out with them. Don't rush anything and just see where it leads.
My bet would be that if they like hanging out with you it will probably lead to good things! But it's better to play it as rekindling an old friendship at first. ;)
