Shirley Phelps-Roper is known for making statements such as "God Hates Fags" and "God Hates America" and to a point she is right. God doesn't like blood-guilty men, and homosexuals. If you read 1 Cor 6:9-10 it says:

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

So yes it is true God forbids homosexuals. But hate? Does it not say in Psalms

"Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."

About the whole god's wrath on New Orleans thing --- maybe it was god in retalihation against the gay rights movement, and maybe the reason why S.F is getting hit with so many quakes is because of the gay movement...but

But... Shirely Phelps-Roper is a fool. If you read Matthew 6:7 it says "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking" Now this is honestly referring to when you pray to god, but it can exemplify my point. God does want you to teach his word and teach people the right way, but you don't go off on the street corner making a fool out of yourself, of which Shirley Phelps-Roper has done. If somebody is doing wrong, you preach and try and get them to stop, if it doesn't work - THEN STOP... Well, believe it or not, Shirley Phelps-Roeper is right on a lot of things, but she still is a fool.

In America we have the right to choose a religion. Religion is the act of believing...believing is a personal opinion. As Americans we must respect each others decisions. As long as they don't inflict damage or cause harm, it is perfectly fine. Shirley Phelps-Roper should not belong in the United States.

Mm hmm...

The whole god's wrath on New Orleans and S.F thing was Shirley Phelps-Roper opinion not mine....thats why I said "maybe"...I was just getting the point of Shirley Phelps-Roper's beliefs.

It's like if you say "Rocky Road ice cream is the best ever." and then im saying "maybe" im not agreeing nor disagreeing im just not sure.... Shirley Phelps-Roper has her opinion I have mine, she just takes it way to overboard

God hates sin, not the people who commit them.
that woman goes too far parading around funerals and stuff.
Yes, God hates homosexuality, but not the men/women who do it. He wants to forgive them (if they will ask) and welcome them into his family.
Unfortunately, sin keeps us separated from God.

Shirley Phelps-Roper is lucky that I wasn't one of those dead soldier's loved ones. In assuming that she is right about "some things" you must also believe in Christianity, which I don't, so I can't agree with you there. She is in no way shape or form right to my way of thinking, and she should be thrown into a mental ward along with the rest of her family/church.

why do you assume that all natural disasters are god's retaliation against moral indescretions? that is a retarded viewpoint. what about all of the heterosexual, churchgoing, law-abiding, courteous and selfless individuals who die in these disasters? what about the disasters that hit areas that had nothing to do with anything whatsoever? the hurricane did not just hit new orleans, and earthquakes dont just hit san francisco. god does not look for gay pride parades just so he can cast plagues and hellfire upon them. to even suggest this idea is an insult to every person who has ever lost a life, home, or loved one in any natural disaster, anywhere, ever. moron.

Didn't you know? The word homosexual wasn't invented until the 1880s or so. That verse uses the word "arsenokoitai", which is a word Paul MADE UP. There was a perfectly good Greek word for homosexual, "paiderasste", which he DID NOT USE. That clobber verse is not aplicable.
