The Pope. He presides over a congregation of over 1 billion believers. Which makes Catholicism, and vis-a-vis him, the most dominant form of Christianity out there.

They will usually go to the pope. Does that mean the pope is the leader of the Christian world, no. He is the leader of the most powerful sect of Christianity. Historically, however, in recent years that has not been the case with America. American presidents have gone to Billy Graham, "America's Preacher," or have gone to James Dobson. Since the only head of the church is Christ, this trend is certainly a step in the right direction.

I'd suppose it would be the pope because he's also the leader of an actual country, the vatican state, which is a theocracy. He also hold s the authority of probably the oldest surviving church to date.

Billy Graham is one of the most politically influential, but there is no "Christian leader" other than the pope. And he is the dictator of the nation known as the "Holy See," so they would see him as the head of state as much as "Christian leader."

Surprising it is, but they just simply approach each other. If their mature enough, they will keep extremes to the minimum and approach the sensitive issue without prejudices. Of course each sides stand up for what they believe in, but there must be some compromise on issues which are sensitive.

This reminds me of that great song that goes "Take me to your leader..."

I think it's Newsboys.

Anyways, they'd usually go to the pope. He's not my leader, though. Jesus is.
