Yes illegal immigrants should be sent back to their original country and immigrate legally. Our laws must be enforced. Other countries enforce their laws on ill-legal immigration.
Most illegal immigrants in my opinion are here for economic opportunities that they cannot find in their own countries because of overpopulation.
MY SOLUTIONS? Financial incentives should be given to people who don't breed. A certain percentage of a country's land should be set aside for small farmers that want to grow crops to feed their families and maybe have some left over to sell. One problem though is that if these small farmers need cash they may resort to growing drug crops. I think they should be allowed to - both corn and marijuana are good sources of bio fuel.

America must secure its borders and limit the flow of immigrants, but there are currently too many settled illegal immigrants to send everybody back. There are many businesses and communities that depend on the hard work of illegal immigrants. America must come up with a path to citizenship for those who are here (not amnesty).

Without hesitation. This is a fairness issue. Why should the people who come over legally be tarnished with the stigma of illegal immigration. This is what happens when the whites can't find work. They blame all peoples rather than look to the reasons why they under-perform, their often corrupt but clever governments and their own inadequacies.

Illegal immigrants should be sent back to their country until legal immigration is granted for them, individually. I am trying to immigrate myself, but on a legal way. Word ILLEGAL says it all.

In a word, yes. We, as do most other industrialized nations, have established protocols for admission to and application for citizenship of this nation. To allow illegal aliens to make a mockery of these laws and policies insults those trying to follow the legal channels to citizenship. We should not be the pressure relief valve as it were for countries that do not practice and encourage reasonable family planning and thus suffer from over population and its attendant ills. The US achieved zero population growth several years ago but now our population is expanding by the number of illegal aliens we allow to stay here. These people are criminals and should be expelled from our country and not allowed to return for several years and then only by making proper application and by following the traditional paths to citizenship. If they have children that were born here and are thus citizens, these children should be given the opportunity to stay or return with their parent or parents to their parents country of origin. Why have imigration laws if every few years we grant amnesty to those who have broken them?

I think so; it's not fair to the people who went through all the work to come here legally. On the other hand, conditions are obviously horrible if the illegal immigrants are going through such lengths to come here. I don't know, it's a tough subject.

SEND THEM ALL BACK! My ancestors came to this country and became citizens thru naturalization. The illegals are no better than my ancestors. Yet now we give them free housing, free food, free educations. This is bull! Take care of the millions of American citizens and children who go without food, clothing and shelter. If I earned enough to pay high tax dollars I sure do not want it spent on illegals before American citizens.

YES!! The point is they are here ILLEGALLY! There are plenty of people who have come here the right way, spent all the money, waited all the time, send 'em all back if they don't do it the right way.

I think the ones that are here should be afforded opportunity to start process the legal status in the United States.
I think there should be checks for arrest warrants or for criminal records....they should be deported.
I think there should be a window of opportunity for those that are here to get paperwork started.
I think the ones that reject this opportunity should be deported.
