Everyone answers questions about dieting, and say how they should cut the carbs and eat more protein, BUT what exactly does that mean?? What kind of protein (foods) should I eat? What should I cut out of my daily eating habits??

Fish, meat, and tofu all have lots of protien, which is good for losing weight because it helps you to build muscles and for every pound of muscle you have you will burn 30cal more a day.

Crackers, cookies, bread, sugar, candy, cake, chips and other foods simular to those are high in carbs which create fast energy for the body but if they aren't used (by exercising) they get turned into fat in your system.

Granola, ice cream, french fries, hamburgers, cheese, butter, bacon, chocolate, and many other foods are high in fat. Your body will store the fat for long term energy.

PS - nimph is wrong... carbs are not a measurement of energy in the food you are eating, those are calories...

Protein includes lean meats like chicken breast or steak (no fat), and eggs. Cutting carbs means don't eat anything white...like white bread, white flour and sugar. Just try to knick bad habits like eating junk food and replace them with healthy snacks such as fruit or veggies.

the carbs thing´s easy. they are the amount of energy food has, if you eat more energy than what you need then it gets stored as fat, therefore to have a healthy diet (if you feel fat is getting stored) is to increase exercise or to decrease the amount of food you eat ! eat less and snack on fruits!

Fish and other meats have lots of protein. Breads, pastas and grains have lots of carbs. Choose wisely.
