So many things seem wrong with life, in general. Religion for one. How can we pick which one is right, if any of them are? There are so many. What if I make the wrong choice and end up paying for it. Isn't that a little unfair? Why does death exist at all? Isn't it rather mean to give something life and full knowledge that they're living, and then take that away? And why do people hate each other for stupid reasons? Example: Racism, religion, monetary/social status, etc... Why do people think wars are okay when it cuts peoples' lives short - and that is something they can never get back. I've been so depressed lately, and brooding over these questions and more. I just sometimes feel it'd just be better to get death over with. I'm not happy, and everything just seems wrong. There are beautiful things in this world, but there is also the inevitable end...

this is how i see it. and some may disagree. actually, most disagree. but that is their decision.

choosing a religion is nearly impossible. if you are going to choose one, base your decision on what you personally believe to be true. if you cannot decide, do not choose a religion. i have opted out of choosing a religion and decided instead to focus on spirituality; that is, a connection with god that has no direct relation to any particular church, sect, or teachings. you do not need a church and a preacher to commune with god, for we are all creations of god and therefore are all granted the same privelages.

death is the natural and inevitable conclusion to life. there is no evidence to prove or disprove that death itself is final; the possibility of reincarnation or the existence of an afterlife always exists. death should not be feared, nor should it be welcomed with open arms. it is best to not think about death until you are directly confronted with it. and even then, you must take it with a grain of salt so to speak.

people hate each other because, well, to put it quite bluntly, people are selfish, greedy, despicable beings. not always, and not everyone, but most of us are, at least sometimes. and that's okay. the people that you love and who love you in return will show this love by putting aside their own selfish motives to allow time and caring for you, and you should be expected to allow the same courtesy to them. racism, descrimination, etc., these are the products of ignorance and insecurity. those who judge and stereotype do so because they do not love themselves. and people who do not love themselves often have much difficulty in convincing others to love them. there is nothing more frustrating than caring for someone who does not care for themselves. these bigots are to be pitied, for they will never know true happiness, and they will never understand the divine nature of the universe.

focus on the beautiful. happiness is an end, not a means. do not pursue happiness; pursue love, pursue beauty, pursue passion, vigor, inspiration, imagination; pursue those aspects of life that you admire, respect, and adore, and the elusive happiness will find you. life is to be taken seriously, but it is also to be taken lightly; and always, always with a grain of salt.

to say life is flawed is to say it was "created" and someone messed up. i dont know your personal beliefs but however you look at it the earth was not made "flawed", it was either created for some reason and everything has its purpose and reason to exist. or it has always been here since the inevitable "beginning" and this is just how it has "changed" or "evolved" or "grown".

"without death there is no life".
"without dark, there is no light".

what im trying to show you is that if no one ever died then what would be the signifigance of living? and without evil what would be the signifigance of good? it is these, "flawes" (as you call them), that add depth and meaning to our lives. there is another Quote i think you should hear,

"it is not where i am going that matters, only what i have accomplished along the way"

you see we all iinteract with each other, wether we fight, argue, help, or even kill one another. so if you were to die right now what would you have accomplished? not nearly as much as you could if you lived to be 103 years old is it?
life is balance, yin and yang, everything that exists interacts and effects every other living thing. and that is what the "life" of "meaning" is...

so the next time you feel like life is just a dull moment where all you do is wait for death, talk to someone. or better yet you could show them this. i dont mind. but if you make a book or something make sure i get like 10%. lol. take care and go live life!

your questions are totally understandable...and you are not the only one that has thought about this. A lot of people have!!! We don't always have answers for this except to trust God as he has everything in control. We learn a lot of things from the bad just as much as we do with the good. If we had a lot of good things happening and nothing ever went wrong...what would you think the outcome would be?? I think it would be totalllllly boring!!!! dull!!! Even with the bad things that happens...it is amazing how much we learn from the bad as well as the goods. I agree there are beautiful things in this world...Keep looking at those things...and I don't want to sound mean to you but maybe you should consider seeing a counselor or therapist. Believe me death isn't going to solve anything...you mentioned you felt sometimes it would be better to get death over with....and you also have mentioned depression. I have depression and have dealt with it for many years....believe me when I don't have my meds...things looks sooooooo DARK....it is amazing what depression can do to your thinking no matter how much you try to think realistically. Think about seeing someone...might help you look at things at a different light. Okay?? :o)

You sound quite fearful of far too many things... and most of all the Unknown and Death itself.

Fear will definitely feed on itself, compounding exponentially until it will overwhelm you into sheer helplessness and deep depression. You must SNAP OUT OF IT and begin to realize that you are MISSING OUT on Life itself because you are too preoccupied with the "inevitable end"...

Begin to find comfort and solace through reading motivational and self-help books. If you don't know of any, look for the small booklets by Og Mandingo --they're all great! I'm sure you'll find even more of the same in that section of the bookstore.

And of course, if you haven't been doing so, pick up a Bible and other sacred scriptures to read at your leisure. I'm sure you'll find much insight into things of LIFE and be graced with the knowledge of things ETERNAL...

Life has a reason. Find yours!

Peace be with you!

God is flawed and this is why creation is also flawed. This is the gnostic view. A perfect god that is omni-everything does not make such a mess. We can blame Eve & Adam, or devils, free will, or whatever, but the created is ultimately the responsibility of its creator (not the other way around). When my new car has a problem I don't blame the showroom, the fault is ultimately traced back to the management, and that's how it is. So humans have over-rated the creator and presumed things that are simply not true according to the perceived reality around us. At least for me it's liberating to know that the creator is imperfect and he needs us as much as we need him (or her, or them), and this is why we all exist.

Everyone's view of existence is wrong on account that our brains don't seem to be ultimate, however that does not imply each person's view of existence is similarly legitimate. I consider it's irrational to expect there's an intrinsic rationale of existence, while there's no proof of a writer. The proof indicates we're the made of causality and bodily legislation without a divine intervention. It's additionally irrational to feel in a god with out proof. There isn't any justification for the sort of perception.

well first of all when you said about religion, thats why god sent all those prophets to guid us to the right way! and the last prophet that god sent was Muhammad pice be upon him, with the religion of Islam.
and with islam you'll feel the pice and harmoney cause it calls out to every thing that is beautiful,
so don't judge it by the image you see in the media, and those who kill inusent people in the name of islam they are extreamest islam did not order us to do that it forbeded us from doing it!
and god placed us in this earth for a short period of time to test us who will obay him and who wont, and after that (death) you get payed for every thing good you did by going to heaven and with every thing bad you go to hell! and that after life is for iternity, so who doesn't want to be happy all the time,(thats in heaven)
and again islam forbeded us from racism and all that saying that there is no diffrence between white and black, rich or poor, strong or week ...
and the only reason that war is going is cause people are greedy!
and hey killing your self is not the answer at all!
cause by doing that your being as selfish as selfesh can get, think of all your friends and family and your love ones how would they feel when your dead?
try to work on your problems, and think of what i said.
lots of love and prayers.

Life is flawed because we are all sinners.

Every problem that man faces today has its roots in sin. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. He didn't create sin. Satan made that. When man sinned the whole world became corrupted. Next the question comes why did God create Satan if he knew that Satan would sin and rebel against God. I believe that God wanted to give man a choice to follow him or not. We still have that choice. We can either believe that Jesus Christ, Gods son, died on the cross, and that God raised Him from the dead on the third day. When we put our faith in Jesus's finished work on the cross our life has a meaning, isn't so flawed. We now have a purpose and that is to glorify God. This is the meaning of life for a Christian who has put his faith in God. God loves us and that is why he sent his son to die for us so that we would have a way to escape eternal judgement in the lake of fire. If you have anymore questions email me.

Ask Jesus to forgive you.
The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
For by grace are you saved through faith and not of your self it is a gift of God.
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Jesus said He is the way the truth and the life no man comes to the father but by Him.

As far as religion, there is no one and only way. Pick one that makes sense to you, but most important, practice it. Everything happens with cause and effect. For example, if you plant seeds for wheat, you'll grow wheat. If you are always kind, it will be difficult for others to hate you.
