Calmly walk, not run, to the nearest conveyance, and get to the closest hospital emergency room. Identify the snake to help the ER doc decide which snake anti-venin to administer. That is the key. Hopefully you will have a friend and a cell phone to call the hospital and alert the ER you are coming in with a snake bite. Obviously it is difficult not to get excited and panic, but a rapid heart rate will just move the venom more rapidly through the blood stream.

First, get away from the (I assume that you mean a poisionus snake) snake, once that is done, try and put some form of a bandage on the wound, then MOVE SLOWLY AND DON`T EXERT YOURSELF, the slower you move and the calmer you remain, the slower the poison has a chance to work it`s way through your system, then make your way to medical assistance, by any means necessary.
It will save time, and quite possibly YOUR LIFE, if you can correctly identify the snake species to the Doctor, so that you can be given the correct anti-venom meds, so before you leave the area of the attack, try and get at least one good look at the snake.
If some MORON tells you to suck out the venom, tell this person that he/she is an idiot, then ignore them from that moment on and continue with what I have previously said.

First thing is you have tie a rope/thread above the snake bitten area, so that the poison won't enter into the whole body.(To avoid the whole body to get poisoned). Then with the help of knife / blade cut the area of the snake bite & suck the blood & spit away the blood. Then immediately take him to hospital for medical care.

jojoo.........dont worry iam a doc here..if the snake bites the firtaid treatment is "u should tie a very tight rope or cloth any thing which should be very tight,it should not allow the blood to flow in that way and should press it out very forcelly that the blood in that area should come out.and then u can go to hospital.

They do not teach the old methods anymore - tourniquet, cut and suck etc... now they say the best method is to put ice on the bite and go to the doctor as soon as possible. If you can, elevate the area where bitten.

See a doctor immediately. Do NOT suck out the venom. Call your poison control center.

I'm not really sure, but I heard you are not suppose to panic. If you do it starts pumping your blood fast and the poison will go through you more fast. Which that can not be good. Happy trails!!
