Payson sounds like a boy's name. But that's just me. If u think it fits go for it. The name is unique though.

I would spell it with an E [Paysen] I think it looks more feminine. the "son" at the end just gets me to thinking its a boys name. I think its a very beautiful name. Have you thought of a middle one yet? I hope to name my girl Gianna Lysandra. What do you think of it? It's italian :). Anyway, I hope you go with that name. It's gorgeous.

That's a last name. No offense, but as a first name it kinda sounds like a whore to me. Kinda masculine, too.
