You would probably have to reason with him because porn is really a corrosive agent in the minds of teens. It presents sexuality in an unrealistic (and even animalistic) light. Get him to see that the men and women portrayed are actually someone's daughter, sister, aunt, uncle, cousin, brother. Tell him that sex is not glamorous the way it's presented in porn, and in a real loving relationship sex is an act of communication.

When most kids get it into their heads that porn is the way sex is, they are in for a real wake-up call when they have sex for the first time. They usually walk away from the experience thinking that they didn't "do it right" and end up becoming sex addicts. (That's the worse-case scenario.) But even still, porn has absolutely no value for the teenage mind.

Your son is curious. Talk with him and explain that sex and porn are two very different things, and that the images he sees on these porn sites are just like the special effects in a movie, not real!!! Education about the realities of sex is healthy, porn is just a sad substitute. Porn can be harmful to his future relationships and happiness.

Theres nothing you can do really hes intrested in women its natural its life You can block him from those sites using various computer programs or you can refuse to let him use the computer but it will be a pointless effort hes 16 well past the start of puberty and will find ways to see girls (or guys no judgement) naked

Also it might be your husband or boyfriend if you have one and they have any access at all keep that in mind seriously :)

If you are using internet explorer, go into Tools / Internet Options / Content and use the content advisor to control what sites are visited. You can set a password that only you know. Of course, this doesn't prevent him from using Netscape or Opera or some other type of browser to visit them. There may be some parental control software out there... I think the real question is, is this normal "teenage boy" stuff, or is it presenting problems (other than your uneasiness) for him. If you present actions and consequences to him rather than your demands, you'll get more out of him.... IMHO.

Look, let him. He is sixteen and is going to do it whether you allow him or not. If it bothers you, just don't say anything. Sex is a normal part of life especially at that hormone jumping age. Wouldn't you rather him do it at home than get busted in a library somewhere? Its going to happen weather you like it or not, its like smoking and alcohol. We may not like it but its a part of teenage years. Some of us worse than others. Just let it pass. You'll be a stronger person as a result of it.

I disagree with the other comments if at 16 yrs old the worse thing he is doing is looking at porn consider yourself very lucky and give yourself a pat on the back for raising a good kid... It's natural normal part of every boy's life... Just pretend you didn't see it....

For goodness' sakes, he's a 16-year-old boy! You'd have cause for worry if he DIDN'T look at porn!
