For all to read this:
If the Old Testament is not profitable, than the Ten Commandments are trash.
The lessons of King David...the proverbs of Solomon and Lesech, the beautfiul psalms of david and Moses, all these are nothing?...get a grip. The morals and lessons are just as valuable today as they were back then. Where did Passover come from? How does that relate to the Jesus of the Old testament has no value today? The Jewish community STILL practice Passover, Purim, Jubilee, all in this day.!
Why was it printed? If it is no longer needed, it no longer needed to be included with any Bible.
I think for some others, they are just to lazy to read. THe old covenant is gone, the law is not.

I have to cut and paste but I will show you...But you stated it wrong, the OLD TESTAMENT IS NOT FOR US. This might take a little of text, but read carefully and hang on a min.
Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
*****HERE YOU HAVE BETTER PROMISES
Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
*** The old is ready to vanish away
Heb 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
****Christians are ministers of the NEW testament.
2Co 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
*** Many things are repeated and the Bible surely tells right and wrong in the Old Testament, but we are not after that ceremony. God with Peter changed the dietery laws on eating in Acts. 10:13 and some things fornication and eating blood were repeated in the New Testament. Sodomy is dealt with in Romans chapter 1 and the law of Loving God and Loving Man covers most of the law. The disciples gathered on the first day of the week in acts.
If you read the Bible and get baptised in the Holy Ghost, you will be worshipping on every day of the week and not out of obligation but out of JOY>>

The Old Testament were actual Gods words which people found it difficult to follow, so they changed it and called it the New Testament to suit their convenience

Do you mean why the OLD testament is not for us?
If so, in the New Testament Jesus gives new rules that are more important and over rule the old testament like turn the other cheek cancels out the old testment eye for an eye thing.
And their is other stuff like that.

No we should believe the old testament but the old testament was strict on how you should live. Because Jesus died for our sins we are no longer bound by those strict rules. But we are suposed to try to be like Christ and follow the basic rules like "Treat others as you want to be treated" etc.

The entire Bible is a book of myths. Why believe any of it? Do you believe the story of Gilgamesh, the Rig Veda, or the trials of Hercules?

Because there the following are found:
1. Thou shall not fornicate
2. thou shall not be gay
3. thou shall not have other Gods beside me
4. thou shall not steal
5. thou shall not lie....
These things are hard to follow for many. So, that's why they chose to ignore it.
