As a woman, I feel once I have said, "Yes" the man should put the ring on my left hand, ring finger. My husband asked my Mom's permission first, which although old fashion, was a really special thing for myself and my Mom. It makes the ladies parents feel included. Just a thought.

It's the ring finger between the middle finger and the little one. Usually on the left hand. All the best.

Not to be rude, but if you're getting engaged, you should know a think or two about what you're doing. Anyhow, like everyone else has said, the ring finger on the left hand. If you're not for sure which finger that is, find your middle finger....yep, its just to left of it. Good luck!
