no, there were some tombs that were privet and those cost money, almost like we do things today. the tomb belonges to joseph of aremithea (i hope i spelled that right, but spelling is not my best subject) who was a folower of Jesus. he asked for the body and laid it in his own tomb. then it was sealed with a huge rock and wax, the kings symbol was put in the wax so that people would know not to open it, a gard of about 300 men was placed to gard it out of fear that people would steel the body and clame that Jesus had come back from the dead. when Jesus rose it killed all the gards, broke the seal on the tomb, and rolled the stone away.

Well the Gospel goes on to explain that a rich man named Joseph of Arimathea offered his private tomb for our Lord Jesus Christ's body to rest for three days before He was resurrected and conquered sin and death.
Judas, the Bible goes on to explain, had hung himself. And in one account he wasn't successful and the tree limb broke spilling him down a mountainside, which led to his demise. It is said he was buried in the field which was bought with his thirty pieces of silver.
So no, nothing is missing. Many times people expect to understand the Bible by reading a few passages. It is not meant that way. The Bible as a whole must be understood.

Oh crap it's you again...Good grief, they didn't pile Evey one into the same tomb...just like they don't pile a mass murder today into one crypt. Look at the Ancient Egyptians. Archeologist's have found thousands of single tombs in Giza, and hundreds more in the Valley of the Kings. Only the common people where piled together. Jesus was not common.

Soga is right. But just to modernize things, would you want to share a casket with someone who was a major factor in your death? Alright, now flashback. If we stick to your question, then why weren't the criminals who were crucified beside him also laid to rest in the same tomb? While we're at it, who's buried in Grant's Tomb?

No. People were buried in their family's tombs. A Jew named Joseph of Arimathia asked Pilot if he could bury Jesus in his own family's tomb. He said yes.
I wonder if Joseph knew it was only temporary.
