What is the Imacculate Conception?

Betcha don't know.

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?

Jesus? Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Gods do not die? Do they?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

If Jesus died for our sins, he should be dead, dead, dead!

The Immaculate Conception has NOTHING to do with the birth of christ. The Immaculate Conception refers to Mary being conceived in HER mothers womb with no stain of original sin.

Mary was born free of original sin * so that Jesus too could be born without.

Give up Saturday?

Gods have died in the past, bone up on some ancient myths (Egyptian)

I hear you on the sacrifice thing- but I believe he 'rose' on Saturday (Sunday as the holy day came with Constantine)

Agreed- probably be more appropriate to say he suffered for our sins.

* Upon further investigation, I've found that the idea of forgiveness of sins, without sacrifice (merely by asking for it) existed in the Old Testament.., that is to say the true purpose of why Christ died should be readdressed.., at least the current interpretation of why he died

* response to previous post, according to popular Christian belief, Jesus is in fact God - see the Doctrine of the Trinity.

*to classychris: No sense in calling anyone names =\

Immaculate conception is where the spirit of the lord put Jesus into Mary's womb. It's conception without a man (I highly doubt that she was unknown to man in that way) The rest I agree with.

He gave up the Throne of David, a fortune in gold, many many wives, and the power to walk around as God on Earth like no other King before him.

As to sacrifice, is was The Father who sacrificed his son. Just like Issac accepting his fate, Jesus obeyed.

But I suspect you have heard this all before...

classychris is correct.

At the point that Christ died, he was inflicted spiritually with all the sins of the world (past, present & future.) The issue of Saturday only arose because the Jews were not permitted to crucify people on Saturday (shabbot).

None of us 'die' except to shed our physical form.

jesus is not god, fool..he's a medium god used to preach gods words and to later die for our sins and save us... we can't even understand worldly things when jesus spoke wht more if god himself were to come down from heaven above and spke of heavenly things... jesus was designed by god so we would understand god through him..
