depending on their tastes in things..... someone likes music get them an ipod, video games then a gaming system or games. Cant go wrong with a mall gift certificate. If you have a simon mall around you they work just like credit cards but if you dont, most malls have gift certificates of some sort.

Money is always a safe bet. If they are moving out, maybe kitchen stuff or some sort of necessity. Or, with the price of gas, a gas gift card might be nice!
