I went off of the pill last month so I could try to concieve later in the year. I took my pill for 5 weeks so that I would not have to worry about my period on vacation. I tried to calculate my ovulation, but I am not sure if I was accurate or not due to taking the pill for 5 weeks instead of 3. It is now the exact time I would have gotten my period if I were still on the pill (which is good that my body is regulating itself) but my period is very very light. Can this be a symptom of pregnancy or is my body just working things out? I don't have any of the other classic "signs" of pregnancy. Thanks!

I would lean more to working the system out. Most people don't have regular periods for a year after taking the pill.

I think it is very unlikely that you are pregnant if you are bleeding. If you were pregnant and bleeding, I think that would be a sign that something was wrong with the pregnancy. I think the pill just messed up your body a little bit, because once you come off the pill, your period will probably not follow it's normal patterns at first. If you're still not sure, I would get a pregnancy test or even go to your Ob-Gyn. Good luck.

Yes it can be a sign of pregnancy, if it is time for your period an early pregnancy test most likely would come up positive now if you were. Light periods or spotting can be the implantation bleeding... If it were me I would take a test just to make sure.

I always went back to regular periods after I stopped taking hormones, and both times i got pregnant it was w/in a month of being off the pill. Just an FYI :-)

Well it could be your body asking you what the hell were you thinking taking those pills, or it could be pregnancy, one of my signs when I got pregnant was I had a period like..I woke up..put a tampon in, later went to the bathroom nothing was on it..same with the next day..and then my back started to hurt..then I found out..personally i don't think you are but you might want to get checked out.

You betcha! Had the same thing happen in December, my son is due in August. BUT...as it could also be a number of other things, see your doc to rule out anything else, or to start prenatal visits!

it could actually be either,
but most likely the body is trying to
adjust to NOT having the extra hormones
