Yes, It's breast cancer for three of them and a brain tumor for one but they are not close relatives. My grandmother's sister, My Aunt, My third cousin and some other distant relative -I think she is related to my great grandmother.

we usually look at only first degree relatives because that shows the greatest link. it depends on the type of cancer because some cancers do not have a genetic link. it is hard to answer your question without knowing the type of cancer, age of diagnosis, and if any first degree relatives have cancer.

It depends on alot of things. You could have a breast cancer gene from the relatives on your moms side but then you may not because you maybe inherited the gene pool from your fathers. If you have the gene, it may never be activated too. You could get tested if you wanted to and see if you had it. What I would do is just be faithful about exams, get mammo's every year, and do the healthy things you can do with diet, not being in the sun, drink lots of water and just live healthy.

This sounds like a case of familial breast cancer (basically, hereditary cancer).

This doesn't mean that you WILL get cancer, but that you are more likely to develop it at an earlier age. If you are less than 40, I would recommend you start getting mammograms once a year and do the self-check every month.

It depends on the cancer (some are genetic, some aren't). Not enough information to answer.

Do realize that you're still more likely to die of a lot of other things than cancer, even if your liklihood is greatly increased.
