I think it is because there is something in human nature that likes symmetry. It makes it easier to remember and reproduce than an anatomically correct heart.

Because that idea is not based in human anatomy. The shape's origin is related to St. Valentine of Roman Catholics, haven't you create one during Valentine's Day.

I'd guess because if we drew what a heart really looks like that would be ugly....it's close....how did you make that heart anyway...cool...God bless
