During pregnacy your dogs temperature will be normal. you need to calculate when your dogs matted. Sometimes your dog will show little signs of distended abdomen until approx. 2 weeks before giving birth. If your dog is pregnant she will give birth 63 to 71 days later. 24 hours before giving birth your dogs temperature will drop to about 99 - 98o. At this time keep a close watch because she may need your help. If you want to be sure if she is pregnant take your dog to the vet for either blood tests or an ultrasound.

Non pregnant females temps are usually anywhere between 101-102. A pregnant female will have this temp all the way until she is due. Usually her temp will drop between 98-99 within a 24 hours before delivering.

Normal temp for a non-pregnant dog is between 100-103F. Like our breeder friend said, a body temperature change doesn't necessarily indicate that she is pregnant. To check to see if she is pregnant, your vet would need to do an ultrasound to look for any fetuses. Your vet can also do a blood test that will check for increasing pregnancy hormone levels.

As far as I know, dogs do not get "morning sickness". The vomiting may have been due to something completely unrelated.

The bump you felt could have been a piece of stool in the intestines. Your vet can palpate her abdomen to evaluate what that bump might be.

To get an accurate diagnosis, you would need to have your pet examined by a qualified veterinarian. Your vet would then decide what tests would need to be done to confirm pregnancy.

Temp non pregnant dog: 100 degrees F to 102.5 degrees F
Temp pregnant dog WHEN THEY ARE GOING INTO LABOR: drops below 100 degrees F.

Temp for a pregnant dog is the same as non preg. dog until they go into active labor. Taking your dog's temp is not going to reveal if she is/isn't pregnant.

If you don't want puppies, you need to spay and neuter your dogs.

Talk with your vet about doing these simple procedures.

That is within normal limits for a pregnant or non-pregnant dog.
