I think you are trying to say that "the virgin" mary cheated on Joseph to get pregnant. What few people know is that the term virgin in aramaic refers to a woman who has not yet started her period. In other words she could have been like many nieve teenagers today thinking she wouldn't get pregnant because it was her first time. It is very likely that Joseph or some unknown guy was Jesus biological father. Since they didn't exactally have DNA testing back then we shall never know.
And if you are referring to Mary Magdelene she was never married according to the bible not according to many other sources.
The other Mary's probably wanted to cheat on their husbands with Jesus or one of the other deciples... much like groupies but if they did they were smart enough never to get caught.

I think you are confused. Firstly, Mary was not yet married to Joseph when she became pregnant. The honourable thing for Joseph to do was to have Mary stoned. He did not, because *he too* had a vision that explained everything. The easy path to take was to kill Mary. God asked him to take the harder road. Do you believe that a man way back in the day would have chosen a very difficult life over a simple way out? I don't. The only alternative is that Joseph truly did have his vision, which means that Mary cleared conceived Jesus our Lord through the Holy Spirit.

First of all, it's John Kerry...and are his "lies" any better than the weapons of mass destruction? But that's not the question...although, just adding a question mark to statement does not a question make.
But Mary couldn't have cheated on her husband given that fact that they weren't married when she got pregnant. Whether or not she had sex with a man is a leap of faith...Christians will say she didn't. Others will say she did. There is no way for any of us to REALLY know.
The point is, is that she was pregnant before she got married, so she couldn't have cheated on her husband.

there is some validity to your point. in my studies, ancient languages used the same word for an un-married woman as they did for a virgin. in fact, many language theorist think that this is the case for Mary in the bible. it deserves some respectable thought.
but even if Mary had sex with Joseph or whoever, does that make Jesus any less the Christ? i suppose it does physically, but we are all god's children. Da Vinci was the bastard son of a whore, and his creations are nothing less than divine.
at any rate, who ever Jesus's dad was he's okay by me.

Mary did not cheat on her husband, especially since they were not married, but engaged at the time she became pregnant. It was only after that that Joseph took her to be his wife, and even then they did not sleep together until after Jesus was born.
Matthew 1:18 ¶ Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this; for after his mother, Mary, was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 1:20 But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take to yourself Mary, your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 1:25 and didn’t know her sexually until she had brought forth her firstborn son. He named him Jesus.

Oh well be nice OK. There's a lot of folks who believe that it's the Holy Spirit. See this is why some say don't argue about religion at the dinner table.
I heard some kid tried to pull the holy spirit story when the girlfriend started getting bigger in the middle. U think it worked??
Maybe the second coming!!!!!

Of course that was what everyone gossipped about her. What kind of idiot would believe that she was "miraculously" impregnated? It is only natural to think that Mary was unfaithful.
Did you know Joseph (her fiance) was going to break off their marriage when she told him that she was pregnant... wouldn't you? Even her future husband thought that she was cheating on him.
But then Joseph had a dream where he was told that what Mary was saying was true and he went ahead and married her despite how bad that would look in front of everybody else.
He was risking his reputation to marry her, but he was sure that she was telling the truth because of his dream.
And when you look at the kind of life that Jesus led, the miracles that he did, how he healed people, how he came back from the dead... Surely this man was the Son of God!

spamandham, you are very right. It would save the world countless amounts of time, and saliva.
Who cares? Do I argue about what flavour was the porridge Goldilocks ate in the house of the three bears, and what was their address, do I? Myths are myths. Stories are stories. The truth is a different matter. Let's keep it at that.

Evidence suggests she was raped by a Roman soldier. Joseph then took her on as a wife. I dont think that makes Jesus a bastard.
