I have a friend living in another country. He wanted to come and stay with him and at the time I couldn't. Now that I want/can go he says he needs time to think because things are complicated. How long should I give him before I move on? Thanks

Sounds like he's in a relationship over there. Also, sounds like he isn't too decisive about it either. I'd guess he's trying to keep his options open by not saying "no" to you. Issue an ultimatum, saying that you were ready for a life change, but life moves fast and his window of opportunity is closing. If no decision within a week, turn it platonic with a "I hope you'll come to my wedding in the future."

I pretty much think that his time is up. There may be a million different reasons as to why he doesn't want to take the trip at this time. But think for a second, if he cared about you or coming to see you on any level he would have given you a better answer/ excuse than things being complicated.

I would reevaluate the situation. Initially he wanted you to stay with him but you couldn't; now you can but he needs time to think it over because things are "complicated". It's really up to you if you think it's worth waiting for his response, which from the looks of it wont be soon or maybe it will, who knows. So I guess just ask yourself if you think it's worth it.

This is kind of interesting, I really do not know about this one because I really don't know how long you have been friends with the guy, but is it that you want to go just visit him or is it that your friendship goes alot deeper than that?

dont look now but time has a way of working itself out and if he is or isnt worth waiting an indefinite period of time will be told only by the passing of time.
