It is not the end of the world, and nobody knows when it's coming. Matthew 24:36 “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father."
The world is not going to end. This is a common misconception. It's a RESTORATION of the Earth. You can also call it a cleansing. There are many signs that the "Last Days" are coming. The 24th chapter of Matthew talk about the signs.

The end times must happen, yes the signs are pretty clear that it is close. The only way we are going to become better people if we apply the peaceful solution of the laws in Ex.20.All 613 of them. But that's not going to happen,so he is going to end the rule of men. And teach all the laws to everyone who accept. But remeber no one knows the day just the sign that the time is close.

The Bible says that no man shall know when the last day will come, not even the Son of man, Jesus Christ. The piety of man makes us think we have the answers. God tells us all things are possible through Him. Never trust in the words of men. Only trust in those of God, the Bible. As far as the world becoming more moral, all we can do is pray, starting with ourselves then going to the leaders of our country's no matter how we feel about them.

Just because the Mayan long calender ends in 2012, doesn't mean the world will end.

No, no, the end of the world was in 1984, no, I mean 1999, er, uh, 01/01/01, or - no I think it was like, last week, wasn't it? I mean 06/06/06. Yeah, that's it, I think. Unless we all get blown away by a hurricane, or um, bird flu, I guess... maybe terrorists. Or AIDS. Yeah, I think that's it.
Anyway, as long as you're scared, that's what we're going for.

The certainty of death and the uncertainty of when make life a "vapor" and "the end of the world" a moot point.
Seeking and finding Truth "now" is the purpose of life - SEEK.

No one can control the end of the world. And no one knows when it will be! The end of the world is not judged upon how good people are, its whenever Jesus feels like coming to gather his people. So you cant do anything about when the world will end, but you can control where you will go! If you believe in him as your savior, you too, will also be on your way to heaven!

Do you know how many time people have said, "the world will end (insert year here)"??? Every year someone is saying that this year is it...the last one we'll have...it's a bunch of BS..."Time keeps on ticking, into the future"
