Why is it the RIGHT one? What would you do if a friend at your church converted to another religion or was ex-communicated? Would you maintain contact with them?

HUMANISM +vegetarianism.
I don't believe my philosophy is RIGHT and I have friends from all religions. I care most what kind of person you are and how you treat others... not what you think is going to get you into heaven.

I am Catholic. I was away for many years until some well-meaning Baptists started asking me questions that they thought would turn me around to their way of thinking. Basically, where there is a difference between Protestant, Catholic and Orthodox thinking, I do what John Henry Neuman did and study history. What did the earliest Christians believe? I found that their beliefs were very Catholic.

Why is it the right one? It's the only one that can trace itself back to Jesus and the Apostles. I also like the fact that it does not lean too much in any particular direction and the fact that it allows mysteries, in that we can never understand in this life what is meant by certain things- we just accept them, with faith.

Does this mean that I believe that it is the only religion, a "we're saved and you're not" mentallity? No. There are many holier people than me in church bodies that I have grave misgivings about. I believe that everyone earnestly seeking God to the best of their understanding of what pleases Him stand a chance of going to Heaven (and probably a better chance than me).

Excommunication in the Catholic Church means that you cannot receive Communion or any of the other sacraments, but you are allowed to attend services and are to be prayed for. In any case, excommunications are rare. I know several people who have left the Church. If they sincerely believe that they are following God's will, I wish them well. The only problem that I have with these people is when they try to convert me. Sometimes it's hard to remain respectful when the other person isn't.

I'm an atheist, and I am for several reasons. A) There is no proof for God, nor any god. B) I've read much of the Bible, and even if God turned out to exist, I doubt I would want to follow him. How many people has Lucifer killed? How many has God killed? If you think about it, you'd know why my loyalty would lie where it would. C) A book written over 2000 years ago by people who literally thought the earth was flat and the sky was a dome overhead just doesn't hold up as "fact" to me. And then almost all of the Old Testament was written 70 years after Jesus died. How accurate can that be?

The "right" one? We'll just have to wait until death to find out. I think I might be right, but there are a lot of religions out there. I wouldn't care if a friend converted to another religion or got ex-communicated.

I am a holiness minister and I am because I believe that Jesus died for my sins, rose again and is sitting at the right hand of God the Father making intercession for all born-again Christians. I know this is the true religion because the Holy Spirit bears witness to my spirit that I am indeed God's child.
I indeed have a very good friend that was also a holiness member and was deceived into converting to Mormonism. I still talk to him and still pray for him. He was deceived as are millions of other people in the Mormon faith.

I'm a Muslim. And i believe in it because muslims take Quran, the word of God, as their guide in life.

Societies that are far from religion have a distorted understanding of it, and their people, while growing up, gather their information about it entirely from unreliable resources. For this reason, under the guise of religion, people adopt different rituals, rules, rights, and wrongs that they feel are suitable for them.

However, the main source of accurate knowledge about the true religion is the Qur'an, as you'll find in it no discrepancies. for it is the sublime Word of God, our Lord Who created the universe from nothing and the One Who knows everything.

(Say), "Am I to desire someone other than Allah as a judge when it is He Who has sent down the Book to you clarifying everything?" Those We have given the Book know that it has been sent down from your Lord with truth, so on no account be among the doubters. Quran Chapter 6:114.

I do not believe in religion. Religion is a man made club that excludes others based on their willingness to conform to an arbitrary set of man made rules. It discriminates and religion diminishes the actual scope of The Creator by assigning unevolved human characteristics to an omniscient/omnipotent source. (anger, vengefullness, justice, jealousy..they're all there in the man written bible)

Religion controls it's followers with fear and ridiculous fantasies of eternal flames and damnation if all the secret squirrel rules a, handshakes, signs and rules are not followed.

If there is one thing that would fix this planet, it would be the sudden awakening of intelligence and the realization that religion is a boys club that survives through mass ignorance.

Now God... God is unconditional love.
I am very spiritual. I believe that God IS. (end of sentence. )

I'm muslim, and i belive totally that it is the true and correct religion to follow because everthing in Quran is correct and there are many proves and muhammed is the prophet of islam because the quran told us about him and the other prophets. Many scientists really prove that islam is the correct religion and they even convert to islam and if u do some researches you will find what i'm saying is totally amazing.if u decide to convert ur religion ,in my opinion ur friends will contact but they won't talk about their religion but anyway if u make that decision, u must not care what others think and think that u want to do what is correct!

My religion is Hinduism, I was a born hindu. Hinduism unlike other religions does not believe in initiation rites such as baptism, communion, khatna, and others for one to be allowed to follow it. I choose to believe it because Hinduism is a religion which tells me from the very begining that its just a path to enlightenment and there are many other paths and ways too and taught me to respect all faiths and religions for the good that they preach. Hinduism never restricted my imagination and thoughts to question it and gave me patient answers to all I had to ask. It tells me to believe in the essence of a person and not his color/creed/caste or religion. Hinduism is an all inclusive religion and does not believe in excommunicating people who follow a different path. it is this nature of Hinduism which generates respect and love in me to adhere to it.

you should never shun someone like that!
unless the have joined some murderious cult or into something that could harm others then that really wouldnt be fair.
everyone has the right to there own opinion.

And my religion is Agnostic...

(Agnosticism )is the philosophical view that the truth values of certain claims—particularly theological claims regarding the existence of God, gods, or deities—are unknown, inherently unknowable, or incoherent, and therefore, (some agnostics may go as far to say) irrelevant to life.

I am Pentecostal. I go to Assembly of God churches. I choose to believe in it because it feels right to me. If any of my friends at church left or were excommunicated I would still be friends with them because friends are there for each other always.
