The bush adm. is a joke when it comes to Christianity.

The Bush administration in no way, shape, or form is an ambassador for Christianity. It is ludicrous to say otherwise. Even keeping many of the popular disgruntlements aside and choosing the strong points of the Bush Admin. you will see that there has been very few Christian causes supported.

The death penalty is still burning strong. The preferential option for the poor is certainly not on Bush's agenda.

You know the problem here is not so much whether Bush is a good Christian representative, but it is that Christians cannot agree on what a good Christian ambassador would be. Heck, there are Christians that support abortion, embryonic stem cell research, contraceptives, In Vitro Fertilization, Capitol Punishment, and many more. Some don't even try to fake like the poor deserve their attention and respect!

You have a great question, but unfortunately it cannot be answered with validity across the spectrum of schism in Christendom.

Bush has been a good Ambassador for Saudi Arabia and his Oil Buddies. As far as Christianity is concerned Bush probably has a very large cattle ranch in Hell waiting for him where all the dead American soldiers will cry out to him eternally.

Bad, very bad.

He doesn't represent Christianity as a whole, just the ultra-conservative right-wing fundamentalists like Jerry Falwell and Pat Robinson.

It was a disaster when he referred to our invasion of Iraq as a Crusade. The Arabs still remember what the Crusaders did and they see the crusades happening all over again.
It's curious why Christians would want to use a word with such a horrible connotation.

I voted for him, but I wish I hadn't. I now feel like he's more of an ambassador for Money To The Top.

Bad. He has put more pressure on Israel to give up land, and so has Condy Rice. G-d gave that land to Israel.

I didn't know that "Ambassador for Christianity" was one of his titles.
