Because he want his people to have compassion and to pray for them in need, if nothing bad ever happen, would you pray for others? would you have compassion for the sick and people dying or that died?
Just because you believe in Jesus Christ, does this mean your going to have a easy life, it the other way around, you will have to go through mean hard time just like Jesus died.
Jesus was tempted by the devil and so will you be...

We attract our own life experiences to ourselves through the power of our thoughts, beliefs, words and actions activating the universal law of attraction. What you put out, comes back! Everyone is not all good or bad. Some "bad" people may have some good in them as well, (or they believe that they do) it's just not perceived that way by others.
Good and bad are judgments and are illusory human constructs, necessary to the world of relativity that we live in. In the spiritual world from which our eternal souls originate and will return, it is a world of absolute and there is only love.

James 1:13 ___"Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man."
God is never the source of the bad things that happen. He may allow certain things to happen, but there is a big difference between allowing something to happen and causing it.
1 John 5:19___"And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness." The Bible calls Satan the Devil the ruler of this world.(2 Corinthians 4:3,4)
Satan is hateful, deceptive, and cruel. So the world, under his influence,is full of hatred, deceit, and cruelty.
Good things do happen to bad people, but eventually God will see to it that they will be done away with. At Psalms 37:10,11 promises us: "For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
011: But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."

People have been asking that question for centuries. I'm not sure that we will ever know the answer as long as we are living on this earth. Some things are just not meant for humans to understand.
God, in the person of the Son Jesus, knows full well what it's like to suffer, and to see others suffer. He went through it too -- in many ways, He went through worse things that we do.
As for why good things happening to "bad people," I don't believe there are really too many people who, at heart, are bad. All of us do bad things at times, of course, but this doesn't make us bad.
There do seem to be truly bad-at-heart people, like the terrorist who got two bombs dropped on his head the other day. But like that terrorist, folks like this always get their come-uppance, one way or another.

Hey, God doesn't let "bad" things happen to "good" people; he plans the "good" and the "bad". I put those in quotes because we only see what's going on right now. God knows what will happen, and he has planned everything exactly. It may seem unfair to us at the time, but in the long run, everything will turn out for God's glory and for our (born again christians who have new life in Christ) good.

1 John 5:19 We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one.
Satan is the real ruler of the world. If you obsereve what is going on in the world today, you'll know that this is true. So people do get hurt, and it's a result of Satan's influence, it doesn't matter if you are good/bad.

Life is meant to be a learning experience, I believe. Unfortunately, we sometimes learn more from our mistakes or bad events in our lives than when everything is going great for us. When good things happen to as you say bad people, you have to have faith that in the end they will have to answer somewhere along the way for the bad things they have done in this life. It helps me to see life this way!

God first of all, does not do it. He is not the one who sits up in heaven and just makes peoples lives miserable! He sits up there and is just WAITING to give us so much love and joy, if we would only turn to him and ask him for it. And you, nor I are ever going to be worthy enough to sit there and say that we are too good to have bad things happen to us! God may allow something bad to happen to you, because in the end, it will work for the best! Just have faith throughout everything!

Life. Humanity wants instant gratification and instant judgement.
And, for the record, God does NOT LET bad things happen to good people. He is not arbitrary, nor is He schisophrenic. Bad things happen to good people for a few reasons... (1) Life. (2) the devil- yes there is one and he hates humanity. (3) good people do dumb things... and as a consequence bad things happen to them! For instance, there was a man named Job that lived in fear that his children were blaspheming God and because of his fear.... he got into trouble.
