Because liberals are hypocritical phonies who will pander to anyone or any group for votes. Even the disgusting Ted Kennedy, the swimmer and murderer, was against abortion until the liberals turned against him. I wish that all the liberals who are pro abortion had parents who felt the same way. Hillary Clinton supports partial birth abortion, as does Carolyn McCarthy. Partial birth abortion allows the baby to be born full term and then the "doctor" pierces the baby's brain with a steel rod and kills it. Isn't it lovely that bleeding heart liberals love criminals, but don't mind killing innocent babies.

That is a good question, I'll tell you:
Becuase you see, Liberals think they aren't responsible for a convicted criminal, they are under a notion that those convicted criminals are victims, and are already here on this earth. They want to "Help" them. They care about human rights becuase the criminals are out of the womb.
Why they want to kill babies:
Now, it isnt' a baby in their world its a choice. YOu see, Liberals don't want people to be responsible for their actions, they try to blame others all the time. They are never at fault. Why should they care for a child they didn't want in the first place, suck that **** out! :D WOOT!
To them it isn't a living thing till it is out of the vagina.
Now I'm more for NEVER having to make that choice. Have people ever heard of Condoms???? Birthcontrol?? c'mon, people, don't be stupid!
STOP HAVING CHILDREN!

This question could be rephrased as "Why do liberals want to stop government-sanctioned killings and give women more reproductive rights?" I totally see what you mean though, and you're right, it doesn't make sense. But these issues are so complicated that in a rational debate, any side could come out as the winner--it just depends on who argues better. Anyway, I think that one of the main problems in American politics is the crude lumping of people into two camps--for instance, I consider myself a social liberal but also disagree with abortion. Splitting the nation along party lines just breeds anger and misunderstanding when we could all be working together.

Mrs Edge you can not be a hibbie and a liberal liberals are pro government and they want the government to control every aspect of the world and hippies are caffeinated weed heads. but to get to the question they want abortion to be done away with because it is not what bush has in mind he believes that it is a sin to kill a fetus ( which means not a human) but it is okay to take the life of a human being. Ah, the stupidity. Liberals would much rather PREVENT pregnancy via education and birth control. How terribly left wing of us! And as a liberal, I'm all for the death penalty when used soundly and justly, i.e. an eye for an eye. Pull your conservative head out of your butt and realize that the majority of society falls somewhere in the middle.

the state doesn't do abortions, the mother does. the state does do executions. it's a thin line that doesn't make that much sense other than not having the government interfere with your life.
how can christians vote for a war monger and call them selves christians. turn the other cheek to 9-11 maybe?

The criminals are interesting and their lives make good made for tv movies that amuse us.
The babies will cry and interrupt our tawdry sex sessions with their fresh-from-the-hospital-saggy bellied moms. Oh yes, that is the best time to break up families.
