There is a such a thing as being on the down low. I come from the generation who created this and it simplly means that you are in the "know" about something and it should be kept to yourself until it is completely comprehended and understood and able to be released to others.

I don't think being on the down low means that he's unsure whether he's gay or something. Doesn't it mean that he wants to have sex with guys and not have anyone know about it? He continues his regular lifestyle with a wife and kids or whatever?

I agree. I saw a show on Oprah about men on the down low. The show had black educated and successful men on the show eho have sex with other men. It was so shocking to see. This man on the show with his wife. She stated she was very much in love with him and would stand by him. I could never do it. I would be so hurt if I found out my husband was on the down low. I think I would kill him.

as far as i cpuld ever understand the term it meant anything you did not want to be known by others. if u cheated with man or woman it was to be kept on the down low...if u knew something that was privileged info it was to be kept on down low...like between me and you or "u didn't hear that from me!" kinda thing.

no there isn't gay is gay no matter how a man try make it seems like it isn't. Even if he has a wife and kid at home, and yet still sleeps with another man, he's gay.
