do a beef stroganoff with it

brown the meat
drain the fat
add sauteed chopped onions and bell pepper
add Italian seasoning
add sour cream

dish over hot noodles (either individual plates, or the whole batch).

serve with french bread slices buttered, seasoned, and toasted.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Made a shepherd pie

brown the meat and drain the fat
place into a baking dish / pan -- spread evenly.
add a layer of green peas (or whatever)
add a layer of grated cheese (your favorite)
add a layer of mashed potatoes
add another layer of grated cheese
bake at about 350-375 until the cheese is all melted.

while you are layering, add whatever seasonings / herbs you like.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What about Lasagna -- don't make it too difficult

brown the meat and drain the fat
add sauteed onions, peppers, garlic, mushrooms (whatever)
add spaghetti sauce (your favorite)

In a baking dish
layer of meat mixture
layer of cheeses (ricotta, cottage, cheddar, Monterrey, your favorite)
layer of wide noodles
layer of meat mixture
layer of cheeses
layer of wide noodles
top layer of meat mixture topped with cheeses

bake at 350-375 till cheese melts and the whole thing is all bubbly.

Experiment with macaroni, spaghetti, (or whatever you like) noodles.

My family's favorite. Not out of a box.

Rice Casserole
1 to 1 1/2 lbs hamburger
1 cup chopped or julienned bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 15 ounce can tomato sauce
1 dollop catsup
1 dollop mustard
dash of salt
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (at least)
2 cups cooked instant rice

Cook the hamburger, bell pepper and onion until done. Add the tomato sauce and cook for 5 min or so. Add the catsup, mustard salt and rice. Mix well. Mix in half the cheese.

Put into a casserole dish and into the oven at about 350 degrees for about 30 min. 10 minutes before done, sprinkle the rest of the cheese on the top.

This tastes great and is sooo easy!

Hope this helps!

This is one that my daughter absolutely loves:
hamburger (do not cook)
potatoes cut into small chunks or cubes
carrots cut into small slices
onion chopped
salt & pepper

Take a good-sized piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil and fold it in half, then open it up. On one half put a glob of hamburger, top it with the rest of the vegetables, seasoning. Depending on how much your children will eat, that's how much of the ingredients to put in. My daughter hates onions, so I leave them out of hers. Fold the foil over and seal the edges.
Do this with how many servings you need to make.
I found that 1 lb. of hamburger makes about 4 packages.
Make sure the pkgs. are sealed tightly. You do not need to add any liquid to these.

Put the pkgs. onto a cookie sheet and put into a preheated 350 degree oven for about 30 min. The foil will puff up and you'll hear the meat sizzling. Open the pkg. and eat right out of the foil. No clean up! No pan to wash! You could probably do these on the grill too if you wanted.

(tater tot casserole is great & so are porcupine meatballs)
