Have a routine like snack, milk, bath, massage, read to her and settle her to bed. Tell her mommy's not far away but she has to sleep. If she's screaming too long maybe she's sick or has a fever.

What you do is make sure that you feed the child so, by the time you her down she want toss and turn. After she's through eating let her run around the house and you play with her as well. Once, you see her slow down running or playing, Then you give her a nice warm bubble bath give her some floating toys to play with while she's in there. Give her about 5-10 minutes to play in the tub. After that take her out read her a bedtime story and that she help to put her right on to sleep.Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!

The most important thing is to NEVER go to her. That is why she is screaming. If she is rewarded by kind words or your presence, she will continue. Try reading her the book "I love you this much" before bedtime. It will remind her you are always there. She will get used to the routine and settle down. Be strong, it's the same with whining. If a child gets a response from screaming, crying or whining....they continue because their behavior is getting a reaction from you. Good luck! Remember...don't go to her...it's hard, but it will stop. I promise. I have two of my own. It was heartbreaking...but it will work.

The answer is not earplugs, no mother could do that! I feel your pain. My answer is cartoon network!!! I know that Dr. Phil would disagree with me, but a tv in my daughters bedroom put her right on to bed, without crying and screaming. If you don't want to do this, then deal with the crying. It WILL end if you wait it out.

If there is nothing wrong with her, you will just have to tough it out. She is trying to manipulate you. If you give in, it will be much harder next time. If you can't handle a 2 year old, what will you do when she's a teenager? You are the mom, you make the rules.

Don't give in, she does it because she ends up getting what she wants. You need to make sure that when she does this you don't give in. Be consistent because as soon as you give in it will start all over again.
