This answer has eluded event the most crafty parents for decades of lovemaking. You have a few options:
A) Ignore the problem and hope he doesn't send you the therapist bill.
B) Attempt why you had to mop up in adult terms.
C) Say that you were in a passionate fight that you both won.
or
D) Sit him down, explain that you weren't hurting each other, buy him a toy, and tell you that you would explain things too him when he was older.

A four year old does not need to know anything about sex. Tell him you and Daddy were loving each other like grown ups do...
His reaction will stem from your attitude. If you are upset, he will be. Also, keep in mind his memory is very short, and he will soon move on to other things to think about.
Give him your explanation, and let it go. Don't behave in an uncomfortable or upset manner.

I guess you don't wanna tell your 4 year old about sex but how ever you can either wait till he sleeps or make sure you are in a differnt room

I would tell him that it is a game that Mommies and Daddies play in private. Tell him it may look strange, but Mommies and Daddies enjoy it.
Teach him to knock, or lock your door.

He hasn't a clue what he saw, tell him daddy and you were playing a game that he is to young for. Mommy wasn't being hurt.
