To be a good leader one must have the ability to communicate with others by being able to speak in public and listen to others.
Another quality is being honest with others and yourself.
Although there are many qualities that one must posses to be a good leader my last quality would be having a positive outlook with the ability to take constructive criticism.

listen. being a good listener is important in anything.
be kind. there are no stupid questions.
don't place yourself above anyone. popular kids and nerds are both voters. they could make or break you. get to know a little of everyone. you could end up with lifelong friends
