School dances and school carnivals are some of the activities but some other school activities would be band concerts, school plays, basketball games, football games. They also have activities for some clubs like for Spanish Clubs or German Clubs.

Um, probably not. Usually when you're asked to describe your school activities, it means the sports or clubs you're in.
However, if someone is asking you about what activities your school has, you can include dances and carnivals along with the sports and clubs.

If you are applying to college, then school activities is usually in reference to organized events in which you participated. If you attended a dance it probably doesn't count... but if you were on the planning committee then you were a participant.
Others include athletics, choir, band, cheerleading, National Honor Society, school sponsored competitions, academic challenge teams, student council, debate teams, charity and volunteer activities, and any committees you were on. Also consider listing any special interest elective classes like art, pottery, wood working or auto shop, and any awards you have received.
My high school listed my activities on my transcript. Check with your guidance counselor to see if the school has maintained a list for you. They may be able to give you a copy of your activities that you can include with college admissions applications.

There are lots of school activities. Clubs that concentrate on a students particular interest such as a computer club, a singing club, a speech club, cheerleading, band and sports. There are lots more - what are you interested in? Is there a club for this at your school or do you need to become a leader and start one?

School activities are like Extracurricular activities. They are activities that have to do with the school but you don't have to learn anything while doing it. You are not required to take any extracurricular activities but they might get you more involved with school. EXAMPLES: Student Council, Bowling Club, Computer Club, Drama Club, Newspaper, and ski club.
