Not recently but 16 years ago! I miss him So much! The best memory is being sick and it snowed here(It never snows in Mesquite Texas). I watched all of the kids playing through the window. When my fever was gone, Dad took his truck and a shovel all over town and picked up all of the left over snow he could find and dumped it in the front yard for me! I built the dirtiest snowman you have ever seen, but, I built one. Because of my Dad!

My dad passed away in March and its horrible. He was the best father. I always thought he was ashamed of me, but after he died, I found out how proud he was of me. I'm only 16 so i'm going to have to go on w/ life w/ him not being there when i graduate HS, med school, getting married, and having my first child. To all the people who have recently lost a father, i know exactly what ur going through

My dad died in 99 from cancer throigh the blood. Otherwise as we all know all we will never get over a parents death. The best thing to do you father would want you to go in life happy and take it day by day. For all the holidays I spent with my dad when he was alive. Now I get up those holiday mornnigs I then go to church say a prayrt for him and light a candle for him at church. I then come light another candle that I have bought a few days before holiday and I then light that candle that sits near his ashes that are in vase that has a top on it that I bought from bloomingdales. After tha tis done I then start my day

Oh I am so sorry. My daddy has been gone almost 10 years. It has went so fast. Seems like only yesterday. I loved daddy so much. It was so hard to let him go. I thought at first I would lose my mind. "Almost did" The hardest part was not being able to talk with him. I eventually got to a place that the missing was less and less. I still have moments that I miss him but I hold the memories.
That's all I have, until I see him again. I know he waits for me, he came and got our mother in January of 2005. The last words she said was to him. Told him she was ready.
Good luck to you. Please hold to his memory. Keep him in your heart, and always honor his life he lived

I didn't loose my father recently but, Fathers Day is a day I'm reminded of him. I try not to think of the sorrow but of the good times and this day is a day that reminds me to take that time to remember him and the good times we shared. My father was an entertainer he played the drums and swallowed a sword, My grandmother and aunts would hide his sword just before a show in hopes he wouldn't find it and give it up. It scared them terribly but the show always went on and was something amusing for me to remember. Remember the good times.

Hi there, I guess we share the same fate where losing our beloved dad on Father's Day. My dad was suffering from diabetes long time ago and he finally left us on that special day 4 years ago..:(
What is more devastating was before he left, the doctor who's attending to him casually came out from the ward and spoke loudly to his nurses, " Hey!! it's Father's Day today...." that just broke my heart & I was so upset till now and vowed to myself I will never ever want to celebrate Father's Day in future cos the memories is just to painful for an occasion.

I havn't experienced that but my best friend, Joel, has. He is the nicest person i've ever met. Then the day before his 13th Birthday, his dad had a heart attack and died. It was really hard for him, but it was also hard for me because Joel's dad was just like him in the way that you could laugh when you were with him and just plain loved him. it was so sad.

I am very sorry for your loss,I to am not looking forward to fathers day at all .You see i lost my father to cancer last march ,three months later my uncle his brother. And we had to lay him to rest beside my father on fathers day.He died of similar circumstances. And to top it all off, this year in feb. i lost their sister my aunt to the same thing. So it has been rough. But remember we will see them again one day.but for now we should just remember them always and forever until we are reunited.... I'm very sorry for your loss. My mom just passed away in March. I dreaded Mother's Day, the Mother's Day ads coming to the house addressed to her were too much to take.
The actual day turned out better than I expected. I choose to do something for me, and went shopping all day with my sister and my niece. It still wasn't easy though. I miss my mom so much it physically hurts still.
Sending warms thoughts your way, and wishing you peace during this difficult time.
