Lets not be silly here-God gave the Israelites permission-see Exodus in the Bible-to eat meat but He also instructed how the animal was to be treated while it lived and how it was to be killed-with respect for its life and to be treated as a living, feeling thing and its death necessary for food but done humanely-the least amount of suffering. What is a sin is how animals today are raised, slaughtered with no care or feeling for the animal. Fact is to cause unnecessary harm suffering to any living thing that GOD made is a SIN. Plants do not have a brain, nerves or pain receptors-they have no memory, nor ability to experience joy, love, fear, pain so it is not a sin so although they live it is a totally different state of being.

Killing animals for food is not necessarily a sin, but may be bad for man's physical purity. Physical impurities impede the free flow of "life" energy all over the body. Physical impurities cause the top 10 killer deceases in the planet. That is why the original instruction is to eat the fruits and the seed bearing plants, so that we can maintain the free circulation of the "light" in the body to maintain our health and well-being.

Actually it is a sin not to eat animals.

1 Timothy 4:1 But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, 3 men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from meats which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; 5 for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.

I have a Vegan boss, and he does not eat aminals or animal products because of the cruelty they indure in the food industry. Most people are suprised to learn that boiler chickens never learn to walk, but are distgusted to wade in thigh-high chicken blood at the butchers.
But I believe that we were meant to eat animals, and it is hard to be healthy without protien. Besides, the best meat is created when the animal was not stressed, so most modern methods are fairly humane. Everything depends on your point-of-view.

Nope what about the lions tigers bears & wolves that eats meat? What about the meat eating plants such as the Pitcher Plant & the Venus Flytrap they all eat meats too? God gave man dominion over the animals & jesus himself fed 5000 fish & bread.

Since there is no such thing as Sin, the answer is no. Sin is a man-made concept, not God's.

Lastly... if we weren't supposed eat animals, why are they made out of meat? Animals eat animals, what makes us so special? Animals would eat you too, given the chance.

It's not a sin at all. If you look through the Bible, the Old Testament especially, there are plenty of references of "slaughtering the fattened calf" for celebration, and there's plenty of references of animals being used as offerings to God as well (but that's a whold different can of worms). We were placed in the position of stewards of the planet; to use what is in it responsibly. Anyway, I realize your "question" was more of a statement aimed at vegetarians but there's my 2 cents anyway

No, in the bible it says that the animals were put here for our use.
That includes eating them. Killing animals for food is more of a moral issue between yourself and nature I think.
