Basengis don"t BARK they yoodle, wine, scream ect .. not exactlly silent.
watch the whippet: many ARE very quiet (some owners can count the tiems their dog barked on I hand)but a few can vibrate the shingles off the roof. tends to run in families.

A whippet dog or one of those dogs that are almost hairless and bark less.

Basenji breeds rarely bark.
Maltese dogs do not shed.
