No, never. Whichever way you look at it, a toupee still somehow looks fake.
Worse, what if an extra-strong blast of wind blows it off, or if a low tree branch snags it, or if he forgets to put it on properly? That can lead to a lot of embarrassing situations.
He shouldn't lose any self-confidence just because he's bald or balding. He can just cut his remaining hair really short or go completely bald, which both look better and can even look cool. :-)

It depends on the quality of a toupee! If wearing a toupee makes him feel better about himself, who am I to judge?

a toupee is an option for individuals who are uncomfortable with themselves and their personal appearance. everyone has something they don't like about themselves and balding is simply one of them- a toupee is simply a tacky and artificial way to cover up their lack of confidence and self-confidence.
