When I served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I think formal prayer on my knees took place anywhere from 2 to 7 times a day. Lately it is more informal, except at night, and I am going back to the basics of reading scriptures in context so as to understand better what I should pray for. I have a book called "To Pray As A Jew" which is very interesting in that I learned that on the Sabbath there is a custom of praying only with giving thanks and not asking for anything. In our church we also believe that a hymn is a prayer of the heart, and words from hymns often go through my mind any time of the day. I think a prayer can be just as brief as saying thank you to Heavenly Father for the colors that we see, or for the food we eat. I am trying to do better to remember to pray before meals. Bet most people could say they pray more often in their cars, and I'd probably fall in that category, too. I think true prayer would make us kinder and gentler and more patient, more thankful and aware of the good around us. At the current time I pray that my father can keep recovering from a stroke last year.

Yup, 5 times a day, because that's what you have to do in Islam. And I'm Muslim, so I do that.

Yes, I do...but not as much as I want to. If there was an area of my spiritual life I feel "weak" in, it is this area.
